house pictures

Here's a couple of house pictures. We didn't want to make any major changes in hopes of selling this one and building on the land eventually. But it still feels good to change a few things to make it ours. So we did some work on the main floor..painted, took down the blinds, and replaced the majority of the light fixtures. We had 2 of these matching chandeliers in the dining room and 2nd entry. We've now replaced the one in the dining room  and are looking for something to replace the other one, which is visible to the street. I'd like to find something smaller, but still something that goes with the other one.

And here's my new bamboo plant. John thought it was kind of funny...it's just a couple of sticks. LOL.I don't usually have live plants in the house so we'll see how this one will do. It makes me happy. :)

Well, here I am. I've been considering the switch over to typepad, so this is a bit of a trial. It kind of seems a silly thing to do since I'm not a famous scrapbooker or anything (LOL) and I'm not running a business, but I like some of the options so we'll see. I'm not totally getting along with it yet..not sure if that has to do with our slower internet service here or my lack of computer skills. :) I called to upgrade our Xplornet to a higher speed this afternoon so hopefully that helps. Anyways, there's not much here yet but hopefully in the next few days.

I've been taking more photos lately...took very few during those weeks while we were moving.

This was Jonas on the floor yesterday. Playing with John's little remote control Bug and telling me about the rocking horse and fishie he played with at Alvin and Leah's earlier in the week. He remembers things like that for days.

He's quite a talker now too. We went to see a friend's new baby yesterday and as we were leaving he looks into their unfinished basement and says "nessy house!" Oops.. LOL.
