Dianna & Arlen

A couple of Saturdays ago I had the privilege of helping Marcy shoot a wedding.

We had a blast! :)

Here are some of my favorites from the day.

First off, the dress and shoes. I think Marcy and I were so pumped to get this shot that we could have packed up and gone home after and been happy.

Well, maybe not quite. ;)

Here are some detail shots.

The wedding was outdoors. It was set up beautifully, and we had perfect fall weather.

We headed out with just Dianna and Arlen for a couple of hours before the ceremony.

One of the first stops was the beach.

I think this is my absolute favorite of the day. Aren't they stunning?

Then a stop at Gaslight in Morden.

Can you feel the love? :)

Then we headed to the yard where the wedding took place.

And on to the ceremony...

Instead of unity candles, they used sand, and included the bride's daughter.

Caught this shot sometime during the reception.

Seriously, she is the sweetest thing ever!!

Thanks Arlen and Dianna for letting me be a part of your day! Wishing you a wonderful life together.

Thanks Marcy for putting up with me for 12 hours. ;)

Jonas

We're trying something new at our house.

Structured play time for this little guy. "Now it's play time for Jonas. After that it's play time with mommy." It seems to work. He needs to know where things are at.

So anyway, during his "play time" yesterday, his Bible songs were on and he says "I can't see Jesus."

So I explained that Jesus is in heaven but if we ask him into our hearts he is always with us. And I asked him if he wanted to ask Jesus into his heart, and he did. So he prayed with me. Then we phoned daddy. And I cried. And Jonas brought me a kleenex and I cried some more. I explained they were happy tears. Don't think he quite understood the happy tears part. :)

It doesn't get much better than that.

September 26, 2008

from the mouth of a 3 year old

"Marshmallows are white..bathtubs are too."

"I go stink on the potty waiter (later)." His favorite line after he fills his shorts.

And, numerous times a day: "want to pway wif me mommy??"

Faces

He's also quite the singer. The louder we turn up his Bible songs, the louder he sings. Whether he knows the words or not. So cute. :)

Still such innocence. I love that.

Oh, and that glow ring he's wearing? He's worn that every single day since we went camping in summer. It came off for sleeping, baths and church, but that's about it. It was the first thing that came on in the morning. Sadly, we had to dispose of it this week because it was broken. ;)

Here's hoping you have a great weekend!!
